Parking at Pullen: Ticket/Towing Alert!

On Wednesday evening, December 3, some church members who parked along Cox Avenue received parking tickets. These tickets have been voided and do not need to be paid. Tickets already paid are being refunded by the city.

Going forward, the City of Raleigh will strictly enforce parking rules in our area. The only exception is parking around the church on Sundays; the city’s current policy is not to enforce parking violations around church buildings on Sundays.

When and Where to Park Legally

  • From the corner of Hillsborough Street and Cox Avenue to the posted “No Parking Anytime” sign near our church steps is a strict no-parking zone. This is to preserve sight lines for the safety of pedestrians and turning vehicles.

  • The area between the “No Parking Anytime” sign and our driveway, and continuing down Cox Avenue, is open parking after 5 pm on weekdays, and anytime Saturday and Sunday.

  • Pay attention to the posted parking signs. Parking tickets issued in the future will not be voided.

  • Parking is allowed throughout our Cox Avenue parking lot on Wednesday evenings and Sundays, regardless of any signage in the parking lot itself. At other times of the week, parking there is reserved for tenants of 112 Cox Avenue.

  • When our parking lots are full, please look for parking further down Cox Avenue, being mindful of any posted signs. Also on Sundays, the parking spots at the Gregg Museum next door, and the Pullen Arts Center beyond it, are available for our church members. We are grateful for good neighbors, and try to be one in return.
