A New Christmas Tradition

For many years, one of Pullen’s Christmas traditions was a youth-led Christmas Eve Service at 11 pm. This tradition was known for gathering generations of Pullen youth to reconnect during the holidays, while experiencing the current generation as they led our church in celebrating the birth of Jesus. Since the COVID-19 pandemic, this tradition has fallen away, waiting for a renewal or a new tradition to emerge. Under Issa’s leadership, the youth are birthing a new tradition. And they would welcome the participation of everyone in our church family.

This year (and maybe for years to come), the youth will lead a Prelude worship service at 4:30 pm to prepare us for the annual Christmas Eve Service at 5 pm. This service is not only for youth and their families; we encourage all of the Pullen community to attend. Through drama, song, and spoken word, the youth will share their thoughts and expressions around the birth of the Christ-child.

Please join us in supporting our youth as they interpret, from their perspective, the meaning of this season. You might be among the first to participate in a new tradition!

If you cannot join us at 4:30 pm, we look forward to seeing you at our Christmas Eve Service featuring lessons and carols at 5 pm.

Warmly,

Pullen ministers: Nancy, Chalice, Issa, Larry, and Tommy
