Joys and Concerns in March

Celebrating Joys

·       James Crook is recovering at home after surgery, with appreciation for Pullen’s prayers.

·       Deb Norton is doing well after a lumpectomy to treat pre-invasive breast cancer.

·       David Wiseman is recovering at home after quadruple-bypass surgery.

·       Michael Watkins has finished all of his chemo treatments and is enjoying being at home while he regains his strength.

·       Tommy and Robin Cook welcomed their first grandchild, David Lyman Gensberg, who was born on March 17 to Sam and Emma.

·       Cheryl Stallings and Mark Crampton welcomed their first grandchild, Reece Catherine Crampton, who was born on March 20 to Charlie and Meredith.

·       Sylvanda Judd has been Pullen's custodian for 15 years! We thank Sylvanda for his dedication to our community over the years.

Praying with Our Community

We remember and pray for:

·       Steve Rhudy — recovering at home after surgery. 

‍·       Vic Urban — recovering from emergency surgery for a ruptured hernia in the stomach, followed by a bad infection.

·       Mark Becker — underwent a procedure for skin cancer on his leg and is nursing a foot wound complicated by diabetes.

·       Beth Barnwell — recovering from shoulder surgery. Beth has also been having debilitating back issues that have not fully resolved.

·       Heidi McLean — recovering from a second knee replacement surgery.

‍·       Gail Carson — hospitalized after a bad fall and is now in rehabilitation at Pruitt Health-Carolina Point in Durham.

·       Sharron Underwood — back home after being hospitalized with a blood infection.

·       Tony Quartararo — back home after a second hip surgery to remove an infection that developed after his hip replacement. We continue to remember both Tony and Elena in our prayers, as he continues IV antibiotics treatments to clear the infection.

Praying with Our World

We pray for our siblings in Cuba who are in crisis due to the U.S. oil blockade. The entire power grid shut down twice in one week, impacting everything from transportation to medical care to access to clean water.
