Pullen's Earth Ministry Team is calling on our congregation and community to take action on a critical issue affecting our neighbors and our environment.

As people of faith who believe in justice and compassion, please voice your opinion and demand that the NC Utilities Commission reject Duke Energy's proposed, unjustified 18% rate hike.

The NCUC Public Comment Period is closing very soon. The impact of an 18% rate increase will be devastating to low-income households and the environment. Please take a few minutes to submit a written comment to the NCUC and/or consider attending the final public hearing and rally that precedes the NCUC hearing on Wednesday, June 3, in Durham. Better yet, sign up to speak at the hearing!

Please be aware that the original Durham public hearing in April was cancelled when police learned that a right-wing group was planning to attend the prehearing rally. This group could be present on June 3.
