Pullen Pickers: Join the Monthly Open Jam!
Last Friday of each month (Starting January 30)
5:30–7 pm in Finlator Hall
Do you play an instrument, like to sing, and want to learn how to play roots music in a jam circle? Come join the Pullen Pickers, who will lead songs and explain the process of making music in community with others. Songs tend to be simple with 3–5 chords; singing and harmonizing are a big part of the experience. Jam-friendly instruments include the guitar, fiddle, banjo, mandolin, and bass. Other instruments work well if they can be played rhythmically through a song.
The Pullen Pickers have been jamming together for several years — it’s powerful and fun!. If you have questions about the open jam, contact Noelle Schofield or Jim Jarrard. Or just show up and give it a try!
