Guest from Nicaragua this Sunday: Learn More About Our Mission Partner AMOS Health & Hope
This week we welcome a longtime friend from AMOS Health & Hope, our partner in Nicaragua, to Pullen. Christy Lafferty has worked with AMOS for over a decade, supporting their mission of providing lifesaving health care, building public health infrastructure, offering health education and community development to rural areas of Nicaragua. She is visiting partners in North Carolina to update us on AMOS' work and offer opportunities to deepen our connection with AMOS.
On Sunday, Christy will sharing information about the work AMOS is doing in Nicaragua as a guest of the Foundations of Faith Sunday Group in Room 307 at 9:30 AM. After worship, anyone interested is invited to join Christy for lunch at a nearby restaurant. Meet with Christy and Pullen member Kristen Anderson on the terrace just outside of the sanctuary after worship to walk to lunch together.
Sunday evening at 5 PM, the Kasper family is hosting a potluck dinner for former AMOS travelers and supporters, as well as anyone interested in learning more our partners in Nicaragua. In addition to food and fellowship, we also plan to pack a suitcase of layette items for Christy to take back with her to Nicaragua.
If you can join us for dinner on Sunday, please RSVP at this link.
Pullen’s next group visit to Nicaragua is scheduled for October 1-10, 2027, just over a year away. If you have any interest in participating in this meaningful event that many past Pullen participants have described as “life changing,” now is the time to learn more and get connected with our AMOS mission group.
