Are You Ready to Vote?
October 15 – November 3
Here are some tips for the November 3 election, from Pullen Friends of Democracy.
Check your voter registration to make sure you are listed as active and all your information is up to date. Scroll down and click on your sample ballot — it's long! Print it, research any candidates or issues as needed, and take it with you. Remember to vote both sides.
Vote in person if possible. Voting by mail provides more chances for something to go wrong. Vote early, October 15 to October 31 — if a problem arises on Election Day, it will most likely not be fixable. Find the early voting sites here.
On Election Day, you can vote only in your own precinct.
If you need to register or update your registration, the Wake County Board of Elections can tell you how.
Important dates: the voter registration deadline is 5 p.m., October 9, and the absentee ballot request deadline is 5 p.m., October 20.
