Stones of Iona (Updated)
The Isle of Iona, off the southwestern edge of Scotland, has some of the oldest known stones on earth. A tradition there is to pick up stones along the shore and keep one that represents something you want to carry forward with you and toss back into the water one that represents something you are willing or ready to let go of or change in your life.
A group of Pullenites made a spiritual pilgrimage to Iona in May 2025 and brought several stones back. Please visit the Pullen Library to see these beautiful stones. We invite you to hold one while you meditate on things you’d like to keep, change or are willing to leave behind.
