Darkness RISING: The Kickoff

Darkness RISING Project invites the community to Darkness RISING: The Kickoff, an exciting prelude to Darkness RISING: Live, their 9th annual arts and mental health block party.

Taking place on May 21 from 6:30–8:30 PM at Pullen Church, this kickoff celebration will bring people together for an evening centered on creativity, wellness, and connection. The event will feature music, movement, wellness activations, and opportunities to connect with others in the community.

Participants will also be able to access free resources and learn more about the work of Darkness RISING Project, a nonprofit dedicated to celebrating arts, joy, and mental health for communities of color. The evening is designed to create space for community gathering, shared creativity, and meaningful conversations around wellness.

Guests are invited to come enjoy light refreshments while connecting with neighbors and learning more about the upcoming Darkness RISING: Live celebration.
