The Table: Summer Gatherings at Pullen
This summer, we’re excited to continue our tradition of connection, conversation, and community at The Table—with a slightly different rhythm. Instead of meeting weekly, we’ll gather once per month for a shared meal, meaningful conversations, and activities that deepen our relationships with each other and with our wider community.
Each evening begins with dinner from 5:30–6:15 pm ($10 for adults and youth grades 6–12, $5 for children grades K–5, free for preschoolers). After sharing in food and fellowship, we lift up our joys and concerns, make community announcements, and then dive into the evening’s topic or activity. Children’s and youth activities are also offered during this time.
Featured August Gathering
On August 20, we are honored to welcome Sarah Brim, Community Watershed Ambassador for Partners for Environmental Justice. Sarah will lead us in an engaging presentation exploring:
The deep-rooted history of Partners for Environmental Justice in Southeast Raleigh
The organization’s current initiatives and the environmental challenges they are addressing
Why environmental justice matters and how we can take meaningful action in our own lives and neighborhoods
This promises to be an inspiring evening that connects our faith to the work of fostering a healthier, more equitable future for our community.
Looking Ahead
As we move into the fall, The Table will continue to open space for dialogue on some of today’s most pressing issues, including:
The threats facing immigrant communities
The need for bail reform
How art therapy has brought hope and escape to those living in incarceration
Join us this summer at The Table—where food, faith, and justice come together.
