Sleep in Heavenly Peace: Build Day in Apex

On September 13, six Pullenites joined several other volunteers in Apex to build beds for Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP). SHP, a national organization, and its local chapter in Fuquay-Varina donate bunk beds — including mattresses, sheets, blankets, and pillows — to families that do not have beds for their children. Providing beds for children is a pressing need in our area and elsewhere.

The volunteers sanded, stapled, stamped, and stacked enough wood to make about 40 beds! Over the next few months, the beds will be delivered by SHP staff members to families.
