Pullen Friends of Democracy Voter Registration Repair Event with Wake County Indivisible

Sunday, May 10

9:00–10:50 am | Finlator Hall

What is Voter Registration Repair?  The Wake County Board of Elections has a list of Wake County voters whose registration is incomplete. Voters who don’t update their registration before going to the polls this year could be forced to cast a provisional ballot, triggering a review of whether their vote should count.  The issue stems from a voter registration form in use for decades which did not make requirements clear.  Read more from NC Newsline here: https://ncnewsline.com/2026/02/11/are-you-one-of-the-thousands-of-nc-voters-who-need-to-fix-your-registration-heres-how-to-do-it/.

Want to help?  Join Pullen Friends of Democracy and Wake County Indivisible at a non-partisan voter registration repair event to inform these Wake County voters whose registration has been challenged as incomplete.  We will address, stamp and write notes on letters to these challenged voters on how they can correct their registration.

Wake County Indivisible brings the envelopes and preprinted letters.  They ask us to bring 20 of our own first class letter stamps.

Letters are sent to all on the list - Democrats, Republicans, people of other parties and unaffiliated voters.  Wake County Indivisible is a non-partisan 501(c)3 organization.

According to a February 3, 2026 article in The Assembly, an analysis from Bitzer and Chris Cooper, professor of political science and public affairs at Western Carolina University, found voters on the original Registration Repair list were overwhelmingly younger and unaffiliated. The average age was less than 39, which was far younger than the statewide voter average of 51….From the original Registration Repair list, 63% of voters were unaffiliated (voters who do not identify with a political party are automatically labeled this way), 23% were Democrats, and 14% were Republicans.
