Pullen Friends of Democracy Voter Registration Repair Event with Wake County Indivisible
May 10
9:00–10:50 am | Finlator Hall
Want to help protect the right to vote? Join Pullen Friends of Democracy and Wake County Indivisible for a non-partisan voter registration repair event to assist approximately 7,000 Wake County voters whose registration has been challenged as incomplete.
Around 7,000 Wake County voters remain on a list of those whose registration is incomplete. Voters who do not update their registration before going to the polls this year could be forced to cast a provisional ballot, triggering a review of whether their vote should count. The issue stems from a voter registration form in use for decades that did not make requirements clear.
At this event, we will address, stamp, and write notes on pre-printed letters informing these voters about how they can correct their registration. Wake County Indivisible will provide the envelopes and pre-printed letters — please bring 20 of your own first-class letter stamps.
Letters are sent to all voters on the list — Democrats, Republicans, people of other parties, and unaffiliated voters. Wake County Indivisible is a non-partisan 501(c)3 organization.
