National Day of Racial Healing (Chalice Overy, Keynote Speaker)
January 17
8:30–10 am at St. Joseph's AME Church (2521 Fayetteville Rd, Durham)
For the third consecutive year, the YMCA will convene a community gathering in recognition of the W.K. Kellogg Foundation’s National Day of Racial Healing. This annual event brings people together across differences to reflect on our shared humanity and inspire collective action toward a more just and equitable world.
This year's program will feature keynote speaker Rev. Chalice Overy of Pullen Memorial Baptist Church. Rev. Overy’s leadership and voice will ground the morning in reflection, dialogue, and purpose. Attendees will also enjoy a musical performance and remarks from community leaders.
