AMOS Update: December 2025
Our most recent Pullen delegation arrived in Managua on Friday, November 7, to a warm welcome from the AMOS Health and Hope team. Over the weekend, the group prepared for the week’s projects and took in the beauty of Nicaragua and its people. They also delivered baby layettes—packets of clothes and diapers lovingly prepared by Pullen folks of all ages—to support new mothers and their infants.
At 5:00 a.m. on Monday, the team began a 13-hour journey to Bilampi, where they spent five meaningful days partnering with community members. Delegates were inspired by local leaders’ commitment to increasing their knowledge and improving community health.
During the week, the team:
Distributed water filters and offered training on how to use and maintain them
Led first-aid training for community members
Repaired doors and window shutters in the clinic
Painted the clinic latrine and cleared overgrown areas around the building
Helped install a simple electrical system in the clinic, connected to new solar panels and storage batteries
The visit concluded with a joyful afternoon of games and crafts with children—a celebration of community, hope, and shared care.
