The prophetic challenge in Micah 6:8 undergirds outreach ministries at Pullen. As we try to address both individual needs and systemic injustice, we attempt to frame our ministry within the call to do justice...love kindness...and walk humbly with God.  Through study, advocacy, and direct action, our goal is to understand the broad context of the issue or need, to address it in effective and faithful ways, and to ground all of our actions in our desire to be part of God's activity in the world.

Many Pullen people engage in missions by sharing God's compassion and justice with others. Some do it on their own as staff or volunteers in our community's fine non-profits organizations and institutions. Others do it as part of a Pullen ministry. Either way, connecting our efforts to meet the needs of a hurting world with our faith is vital to our individual spiritual lives and the life of the Pullen community. Through mission groups, local missions, international partnerships, Pullen Mission Women, the Hope Center at Pullen, and mission activities for youth and children, we attempt to do justice and love kindness as individuals and as a community of faith.

We do missions and outreach at Pullen because the world needs us. But the places where we touch the world's pain also influence us, including our concept of God, our understanding of Jesus, and our experience of God's spirit among us. It is in these encounters that faith is formed and enriched. It is here that we can follow our calling to be healers of a broken world.

Pullen's outreach ministries are coordinated through the Missions and Outreach Council. Newcomers are always welcome. Information about other outreach opportunities may be found in the Sunday Update and PullenNews.
