Background: Throughout its more than 130 years, Pullen Memorial Baptist Church has been a progressive congregation. As it supports the spiritual formation of its members, Pullen also leads on issues of social justice, including support for poor and marginalized people, civil rights for all, and championing societal diversity and human rights for all people. Minister with Youth and their Families
Responsibilities: This role is established at 32 hours per week with responsibilities to coordinate, supervise and minister to all aspects of church life that involve middle and high school students and their families, one-third of which are racially/ethnically diverse, furthering their Christian and spiritual formation through educational programs, worship experiences, retreats, community outreach, social activities, pastoral care and support. Requirements: Graduation with a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university, supplemented by theological training, at least three years of experience working with middle school and/or high school youth, and strong skills in creating, organizing and managing programs or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Seminary degree preferred.
Our youth minister will be expected to nurture youth leadership skills, collaborate and connect with youth, collaborate with other ministers and staff, and show sensitivity to and respect for a diversity of theological beliefs and perspectives. Applicants must have experience with program management, conflict resolution, peer support counseling and/or behavior management. Applicant must show strong interpersonal skills and an ability to take care of themselves while also leading and serving others.
Work also requires flexible scheduling, overnight trips and week-long camps, weekend work, and a strong personal commitment to the values, community ministry, and programs of Pullen.

Responsibilities: This role is established at 30 hours per week with responsibilities to plan, organize and supervise the facilities management functions for both of the church properties. The Facilities Manager will work in property and risk management, preventive maintenance, safety, supply and equipment procurement. He/she will identify and oversee building maintenance and repair vendors and may make minor building and equipment cleaning and/or repairs. He/she has accountability for recruiting, organizing and supervising building maintenance, and other volunteers in support of the property management functions of the church. The Facilities Manager reports to the Church Administrator.
Requirements: Graduation from high school preferably supplemented by course work in mechanical and/or electrical trade skills, and considerable experience in facilities maintenance and repair, including supervisory work and oversight of contracted vendors; project management experience preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Compensation: Salary is $33,000 annually, plus an excellent benefits package including fully paid health insurance, retirement, disability, holidays, vacation, sick leave, and other benefits.
