Fifty million people in America and one-in-four children don’t know where their next meal is coming from — despite our having the means to provide nutritious, affordable food for all. After worship Sunday, July 21, join us for lunch and the film “A Place at the Table” about hunger in America and what we can do about it. In this 80-minute documentary, actor Jeff Bridges and others describe how we can feed our nation’s hungry people if we have the will to do so. Reservations are not required.
Next Sunday, July 21, the focus of our Summer Sunday School for adults is trends in education and our speaker is Pullen member Ann McColl. Ann serves as the first in-house legal counsel for the North Carolina Association of Educators where she also works on policy and lobbying. She previously served as a lobbyist for the State Board of Education.
We hope you will join us at 9:45 AM in Finlator Hall as we explore what’s happening in the important field of education.
