Pullen Memorial Baptist Church mourns the 58 victims callously murdered in Las Vegas, Nevada on October 1. We pray for their families and friends who will have to meet a future without those they love. In addition, we pray for the 500 people who were injured during the worst gun massacre in U.S. history. We pray for peace and healing and commit to support and solidarity in the face of this senseless tragedy.
As people of faith, we understand that our prayers for peace must be accompanied with intentional acts of justice. We whole-heartedly condemn acts of violence and the weapons that make mass violence possible. We believe that the blessing of human life and the work of peacemaking are the central tenets of our faith, and we pledge to live these principles in our lives together.
