Each fall, Pullen’s six-member Nominating Committee recruits people to be church officers and to fill approximately 75 openings in the church’s councils and committees that keep Pullen running smoothly. To find 75 people willing to serve takes hundreds of contacts via email, telephone calls and face-to-face interactions.
Over the next two months, members of Nominating will be in touch with many of you to find out if you are wiling to serve. There truly is something to match everyone’s talents and interests – whether you love to throw a party, are intrigued by church history, want to help guide the way Pullen worships, or enjoy the challenges of building maintenance.
There are opportunities for members and non-members alike to be involved.
When you receive a call or email from a Nominating Committee member, we’ll make it clear that’s why we’re contacting you. We love to hear yes, but we are not dismayed by “no” responses. The only unacceptable response is no response at all. Promptly letting us know if you are willing to serve makes the entire task easier and helps us ensure that Pullen’s 2014 leadership structure is in place well before the new year.
If you want to volunteer for a particular council or committee, please contact Lori Jordan, nominating chair, at firstname.lastname@example.org, 919-522-0744; or members Vanessa Jeter, email@example.com, 919-833-3913; Bruce Spencer, firstname.lastname@example.org, 919-866-1123; or Shannon Neiley, Shannonb393@hotmail.com, 919-741-8934.
